Dr. Daniel Gary Swaine serves The Boston Forecasting Research Institute Inc. (BFRI Inc.) as Chairman of the Board of Directors and as Executive Director (CEO). Dr. Swaine is the Founding Director of The Boston Forecasting Research Institute Inc. (BFRI Inc.) and also serves as the Director of Research and as a seminar leader and consultant. Dr. Swaine has been an economist for 35 years. Dr. Swaine is an expert in working with and building medium and large scale economic forecasting and simulation models.  Dr. Swaine has over 20 years of experience in economic research, working for such firms as the Strategic Planning Institute (a business strategy simulation model), Boston College (an international computable general equilibrium model to analyze oil shocks), the Massachusetts Department of Revenue (a tax analysis simulation model), the Federal Reserve (a tax analysis simulation model for the New Hampshire Commission for Education Funding), and for Daniel G. Swaine & Associates (a macroeconomic forecasting model, which will become the primary forecasting model for BFRI Inc when fully completed). Dr. Swaine also compiled over seven years of full-time college teaching experience, at the University of New Hampshire, College of the Holy Cross, Northeastern University, and Salem State University.  At the University of New Hampshire, Dr. Swaine taught Ph.D. level courses in Dynamic Macroeconomic Theory and in Econometrics. Dr. Swaine received a B.S. in Business Administration from Salem State University in 1979.  Dr. Swaine received an M.A. in economics from Northeastern University in 1982, and another M.A. (an ABD) in economics from Boston College in 1985.  Dr. Swaine received the Ph.D. in economics from Boston College in 1990.
